Another researcher and I have found out that our mutual ancestor, Samuel Bush, appears on the list of "Summary Convictions for Gloucestershire" on www.genebug.net/criminals.html. All the information the list contains is
Bush Samuel M 19/01/1858 31 Framilode Waterman QGC9/1
the latter being the reference. When I went onto the Gloucester Archives site I cannot find the reference. Unfortunately as I live in the north of Scotland I cannot visit the archives in person. Is there any other way of accessing this information that anyone can advise of please.

He was convicted of having unlawfully taken a certain salmon, value 6/- , from a private fishery in the parish of Awre, the property of Mr Henry Awre. The case had been adjourned from the previous August for the purposes of gathering certain evidence. Fined £2 plus the 6/- , plus costs; or one month in prison.
