Good morning to all! I finally got through scanning 38 photos. Eyes going blurry :) I found 2 photos of my grandmother Jean Cruise Gosden. The more I look at the woman in the first two posts for dating I think I can see a reseblance between Young and Older. Even the 1'st Dating photo I can see where it may be my grandmother. She came to Canada in 1913 and 1914 stayed. Born 1885. Married later in 1919. Did not have my mother until 1925, and she died of breast cancer in 1933. Also, with the first photo who had the weird hat, I know her brother went to Winnipeg (they came over together) so she too may have gone with them. I can see a resemblance there. The photos I am posting today are 1932 when my grandparents and mom went back to Scotland to visit family. She is now 47 yrs old. There is one photo The Gosden's taken when my mother was quite young, so about 1928 and the second photo is in Scotland 1932 titled The Bains & Jean. The older woman likely is my xgrandmother aged 69ish. Ok, now to get the photos up.........

I have played around with the images provided . and lay them on top of each other with a less that 50% opacity and looked at the comparison you can see how close these 2 images are of this lady . either she has a twin ! , has a doppelganger !!!! or this is one and the same .... me personally because i am a bit strange i want doppelganger but for you I am hope the same lady !!!! as for the little girl not conclusive

Thanks to both of you! Thoppe, I never knew you could play around with opacity in a photo. Thanks! Neat photo.

I also tend to think the parting of the hair left or right, tends to stay the same throughout a lifetime, unless photo has been reprinted back to front,

Yvonne, excellent! Something I have never noticed! And the younger photo down below under dating, who I think might be my grandmother younger, has her part the same way. I will definately watch for this in all photos I need to identify or compare. Thank you! :)
