I have the front of the photo and will be able to get a scan of the back over the next few days. Could anyone have a go at dating this photo please. Thankyou.

Around about 1910 is my broad estimate - certainly just pre-WW1 :) China and Jim will be able to confirm this.

Was this taken in the USA?

Were you thinking it is of a "brownstone" type of house, Jim?

Thank you for the date - I was hoping for about 1912 to allow me to make some "guesses" about people on the photo. SO 1910 is perfect! Also, thanks for removing the creases from teh photo it has improved it immeasurably. The photo was probably taken in Lancashire - Ramsbottom. That is where most of these people came from. To my knowledge there was never a big holiday in the USA - sadly, they wouldn't be able to have afforded it...

Not that I would ever, ever argue with Prue....Jim, yes, but not Prue ;D ;D ;D....but I was thinking just a tad later than 1910...just before the war would be a little better because of the necklines and the skirt on the lady to the right. So...1912-1914ish would be my estimate.
Hiya Prue, Jim ;D ;D ;D ;D
Cheers,
China

I thought into the war years 1914-16 but there are too many young men that's why I thought USA as they didn't join until 1916.

You can argue any time you like, China - you always do it so politely ;) ;D
