I am searching for info on the children of Roderick McKenzie and Mary Cameron. Roderick b circa 1831 Urquhart d 3 Dec 1901 Culbokie. Mary b 13 Sep 1826 Forres Morayshire d 19 Feb 1910 Culbokie.
Their children:
Elizabeth b 1854
Ann b 25 Sep 1855
Kenneth b 29 Apr 1857 He was a shoemaker as was his father Roderick
Malcolm b 27 Apr 1859
Isabella b 14 Dec 1860
Mary Helen b 16 May 1863
All were born Culbokie
Having a name like McKenzie makes searching for them very difficult. Can anyone help?
Thank You

Marriage 3rd Dec 1852 Knockbain,Ross And Cromarty,Scotland or 4th December 1852 Urquhart And Logie Wester,Ross And Cromarty,Scotland?
I note you have a child Ann bn 1855 have you got that particular birth certificate as it will give a huge amount of family information ie date/place of marriage, parents names, how many children born/surviving etc?

Could I check Mary's birthplace, please? You say
Mary b 13 Sep 1826 Forres Morayshire
but all the census entries have her born Knockbain circa 1830
I'm wondering if this is Malcolm in 1881 with a relative, Alexander Cameron:
1881
55 Thomson Street, Govan - multi-occ
Alexander Cameron, hd, mar, 42, house carpenter, b. Urquhart, Rossshire
Elizabeth, w, 33, b. Glasgow
Alexander, s, 9, b. Partick
John McM, 4, b. -do-
Andrew D, s, 1, b. -do-
--
Malcolm McKenzie, lodger, 21, spirit dealers assistant, b. Urquhart,
Charles Frazer, lodger, unm, 27, -do-, b. Morayshire
Added - this looks a better possible for Mary Cameron's birth/bpt :

The marriage appears to have been registered in both Rodericks parish and also in Mary's so it is possibly the 3rd. I went back and checked their second daughter's birth cert. Being registered in 1855 meant it gave a lot of information and it gave Forres as Mary's birth place. Mary's older sister Ann was also born in Forres. It appears that their mother went home to Forres to her own mother to have her first two children.
The entry in 1881 census for Govan in Glasgow looks promising though I am not sure who the Alexander Cameron is. I know it is not Mary's brother because he died in 1879 at Knockbain. I have his death cert. I will follow up the 1881 clue and see where it takes me. Thank you for your help
