Wondering if anyone might be able to help me find the details of the burial of my Great Grandfather, Charles Corcoran who died Q1 1928 and is believed to be buried in Flaybrick Cemetery, Catholic section. I am thinking that he is probably buried with his second wife Grace nee Barker. Any help with this would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi Fiona
You're welcome
The burial records are held at Birkenhead Library on microfilm -
(RC section 2)
Burial 3/10/1924 Grace Corcoran age 75 wife of Charles
(the burial was performed by V(?) Corcoran -the only burial on the page performed by this priest)
Burial 16/2/1928 Charles Corcoran age 78 Stonemason
Also buried in the grave is Margaret Bridget Corcoran age 94 her burial was on 9/4/1974
I found the grave in Flaybrick and took a couple of photos - the writing is a bit faded but fortunately the gravestone is there.
Just let me know if you would like me to send the photos.
Hope this helps

Hi Colin
Thank you - that's very kind
I don't mind - just wish I had more time - work and other things prohibit me!
My other half helps me - especially to search for graves - Flaybrick isn't always the easiest place - it takes ages to figure out the numbering system on each section- or sometimes there doesn't seem to be a system.
I wouldn't venture there alone - I have him searching under bushes and moving leaves away!
Sadly many of the graves have been vandalised or knocked down - such a shame.
Just happy to help if I can.
Thanks again

Thank you so much Neptune,
You are so very kind and I am VERY grateful! :D
V Corcoran was a son of my G Grandfather Charles and G Grandmother Grace. Margaret Bridget was a daughter of Charles and his first wife.
Fantastic!
Thanks again.
