Hello Frederick :)
Welcome to Rootschat!
You can check for births, marriages, and deaths in freebmd:
http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl
The marriage of Dorothy and Evan took place at the start of 1927
Pontardawe volume 11a page 1306
If you purchase the marriage certificate, it will provide more information such as addresses, ages, Father's names and occupations.
Have you tried to find them on 1911 census, which is pay to view?
http://www.1911census.co.uk/
Kind Regards

Good News! I found the family of Dorothy Thomas on the 1911 census:
- Benjamin Thomas, hairdresser, born 1877 in Docks Cardiff
- Florence Thomas, his wife, born 1879 in Hugheskaffa (?), Russia (?)
- Florence Thomas, 1st daughter, born 1906 in Pencoed
- Dorothy Thomas, 2st daughter, born 1908 in Pencoed
Does anybody know what "Hugheskaffa" mean?
Best

You can purchase UK certificate online from here:
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/
Check the correct info (place, volume, and page reference) from Freebmd site.
I think the Russian birthplace is probably Highesovka:

Dear Morgan,
thanks a lot! You are very helpful.
The mom of my girlfriend confirmed that Benjamin was a hair dresser.
In cenus 1911 and 1901 it is the right person.
I'm unfortunately not sure if the people of 1881 and 1891 are the correct people?
I guess I need first the marriage certificate of Benjamin.

Hello,
I found this:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/JV3V-9CP
So I'm fairly certain that John Thomas is the father of Benjamin.
What do you think?

I think the 1881 and 1891 match because Emma (Benjamin's sister) was born in Chepstow. The marriage certificate should confirm his Father's name and occupation.

I think this could be the marriage for Benjamin and Florence
