Hope someone can help, I am trying to find out who was living at 8 Skipton Road Anfield Liverpool on the 1901 and 1911 census, I have access to Ancestry but can not work out how to do it with this resource, many thanks Wayne

On Ancestry you can only do an address search on the 1911 census
When you have the relevant search page put Lancashire into the county, Walton on the Hill in the civil parish and Skipton Road into the street.
That will then give you all the names of the people living in the street. Then it's a matter of trying each Head of the family to find which is no 8.
For the 1901 you could try one of the names you've found living in Skipton Road in the hope they were living in Skipton Road in 1901.
You can do an address search on Find my Past which will give street numbers. the search is free but to see the actual image you have to pay.

Thanks Gibel, found the Hughes Family living there in 1911.

You can get free credits on FindMyPast at the moment - read this post as there are 3 offers listed.

I'm not sure that Skipton Road existed in 1901. It's not listed in 1900 Gore's directory

I think Shaun is right ;D
You can do a street search on 1901 on FindMyPast without a subscription/credits. The only Skipton Roads listed in Lancashire on their index at that time are Colne, Foulridge and Trawden ;)

A to Z of streets in Liverpool in 1901 - NO Skipton Road
alphabetically it goes Skerriest St then next is Skirving St ..
so presumably built between 1901 and 1911 ...this is how the house looks - still standing by Liverpool FC ground
