Post by: lew55majorca on Sunday 23 December 12 00:55 GMT (UK)
Hi, I am looking for any relatives of my late grandmother, Elizabeth Berry Templeman b: 30.10.1904 South Shields. Her father was Alexander Berry Templeman b: 1874 South Shields. His father was William Templeman b: 1840 South Shields. His father was William Templeman b: 1820 Angus, Scotland. Her mother was Theresa Currie/Curry & her brothers were William Robert b:1901 d: 1960, Alexander Currie  b:1907 d:1985, Robert Currie b: 1909 d:1912.
I am interested in hearing from any relatives of her two surviving brothers, William & Alexander. Many thanks :)

If you haven't already done so, a good way to make surname connections with other members is to enter your surname interests in the Surname Interests Table (SIT), and to check there whether others are researching these names.

This can be found at http://surname.rootschat.com/

The more people who enter their surnames, the more chance there will be of making a connection!

I think I am a relative of yours, My mother was Theresa, daughter of Theresa and Alexander Templeman born 1920, d 2005. which would make her your grandmothers sister.
I am New to this site and not sure how it all works.

Hi,
I am not very good on this site - I don't use it much as I don't really understand it !

I am really pleased you have been in touch - I was beginning to think none of my grandmother's family were still with us !

It is a bit of a mystery to me about my grandmothers side of the family as she had told her children (my mother, aunt's & uncle's) that she was one of three children & her parents had died when she was young and all three of them had been put into care. It was only at the beginning of this year when I was looking at someone else's family tree that I found her parents had gone on to have  six more children (9 altogether), Theresa being the youngest. So that would make you my only surviving uncle's cousin - I think.

Do you have any information on your mother that would be of help to me ? - I would appreciate it very much if you have.

I am so pleased you have been in touch with me as I really believed there were no more Templeman's of my grannies family left.

Kind regards

Lori Wade (nee Byworth)

Hi , Yes I am Maureen, Margaret is my sister, you must have the  family tree to know this, but you did not mention my mother (or several other siblings) in your message, I am excited to have found you

Hi Lori, Sorry missed your first message (cannot make head or tail  how to navigate this site)
We only found out last year how many siblings were in the family, only knew of William, Alexander, Arthur, Elijah and Theresa. Mum told us she had thought she had two sisters that had been given away, so we were shocked to hear about Elizabeth, Rebecca, Isobell and Robert.
Do you know how we could converse about this without giving our private information in this forum

Maureen x

Hi Maureen & Lori

Just to let you know that emails addresses are removed in accordance with Rootschat policies to prevent spam and other internet abuses.

You can send a personal message either by clicking on the icon (looks like a little clip board next to a chess piece) under the 2 stars of the user name or go to the profile (click on the name above the stars) and send a message from there. The personal message system can be found on the left hand side under 'actions'

If the little scroll is bright green it meand there is a good chance the other person has been online in the last 30 minutes or is still online.

Hope this helps
