Is anyone researching the Eland family in the Rosedale area? They are my paternal ancestors. Goff Eland

I have some information on the Eland family in Yorkshire. Hutton Rudbby/Ingleby Arncliffe area I think. It is a long time since I did anything on that branch. I will look later. What names are you researching?

Abraham and Leonard please

Dates? Do you have them in any census records? There are a surprising number of Elands around that area.

HI
I also have an Eland that i am researching. Hannah Eland was my great great great great great grandmother on my fathers side. I know that she was born in Hutton Rudbury in 1766 she married George Milburn born the same year. Hannahs parents were Jonathan Eland and Ester Bainbridge.
Is there a link with anyone here. If so please drop me a note.

Hi Michelle
I am also descended from the Elands of Hutton Rudby but have not done very much work far back on that line. John Eland who married a Sarah and had John born 27 Feb 1747 is as far as I can go. The latter married Esther Willes in 1769. They are my 4X great grandparents. I have some information about the Elands from there down. I have also been in touch with various researchers over the years - long before internet days - and have other odd snippets about Elands.

Hi Andrea
You seem to know more than me, but looks like we decend from the same Eland's :)
I know very little as i only know the bare bones of my family history back then. I have several John Elands....
John Eland born 1695 (my great x7 grandfather, wife unknown had a son John Eland born 1716 married to Sarah ? born 1722 (my great x6 grandparents). They had a son Jonathan Eland born 1751 who married an Ester Bainbridge born 1751.
This is all i know, my information has come from an elderly relative. I would be really interested in anything you know and would be pleased to share any info i have.
It's always great to meet another distant relative. Hope to speak soon.
