Title: Somerset in the Civil War Records
Post by: Anna_C on Friday 21 December 12 19:39 GMT (UK)
Does anyone know what records exist for Somerset during the Civil War period and where they can be found? I'm assuming baptism, marriage and burial records might be incomplete but was thinking possibly army lists etc might exist somewhere?

Have you looked at what records the Somerset Record office is holding, you can search on line but to view you need to visit the Office in Taunton.

Then you've go the Somerset's infantry and Taunton museum, might be worth contacting them to see what records they are holding.
