The ultimate physical size for a photo without having to use the schroll is 690w X 920h.
I've discovered you can put up more than 2 pictures providing the entire filesize doesn't exceed 900Kb.

Jim does this mean there is no size limit for the original posting as it all gets reduced to stamp size now

No,this refers to the original size which gets reduced when you post but is enlarged to it's original size when you click on it.
