Title: Parish Records - Keeffe - Cloyne (township)
Post by: cyokeeffe on Wednesday 01 June 05 21:28 BST (UK)
I am looking for William Keeffe born around 1802 in Cloyne, Cork. He went to England and married Mary Ann Brett in 1833.

I hired a researcher to check Church of Ireland records, with no results. I expect (now) that the family was Catholic. I have lots of information from England, nothing from Ireland - only a list of Keeffe's from the 1766 religious census - Daniel, Darby, and John (in the town of Cloyne), John and Thomas (from rural Cloyne) - none of them necessarily related to my William.

Can anyone check Cloyne records for me for any Keeffe's around this time? (Spelling varies - Keefe, O'Keeffe, Keif, etc.)

Did you have any jot with this?  I'm looking for RC Keeffe's from Castletown Roche / Fermoy and would really like to get some help focusing my search - can you recommend a researcher at all?  Many thanks,

Pat
