The links for Kilbrannan have been reported as "broken"
Entering "Kilbrannan Chapel Skipness" brings up a website with Monumental inscriptions for Kilbrannan http://www.rootsweb.com/~sctcskip/mi.htm
Maybe this is the new "home" for the site ?
Try it and see, .... and please let us know :)

Only one of the sites was accessible. :'(

Here are some new links I found on Google - I'm think they are the same as the original ones posted but in a different location?

Thanks for those, Boongie Pam,
When you search one of those sites you get the bagpipes blasting away - no reason to doubt which country you're searching in!

Kilcolmkeil Churchyard, Southend, Argyll
success :) found a new link which gets you it. the orginal link no longer works but the new one has a copy of the site.
you'll get all the MIs but a few of the layout & photgraph links don't work, well not on my computer anyway, but 2 links near the foot of the page will get you the layout of both the middle and west ends.
http://www.ralstongenealogy.com/cemetery.htm yes! :D

Yes Keith

Not on the bagpipes unfortunately. A midi file instead.
Don't have anyone there which is a pity but will be going back just for the detail.

Hi, Everyone,
Just a brief note to say that last week, for four days, I was able to occasionally enjoy the skirl of pipes again during a stay in Dunoon. Found and photographed the DYSON gravestone that I'd wanted to see for so long. Dunoon is quite a quiet place now, even in the summer season, apart from when the 23rd, 24th, and 25th August comes along, and the Cowal Highland Games fills the place.
A very helpful man at the Museum showed me some estate plans of the area, drawn on oiled silk from 1849-50, which were a mine of information...

I have just joined this group in order to tell you about a couple of my web pages with Argyll cemetery information.
There are gravestone photo images of most all of the Kintyre cemeteries and a few others.
The first allows you to search the list for your surname: http://www.ralstongenealogy.com/personquery4.php
The second lists the cemeteries with cemetery name links to an alphabetical list of the gravestones: http://www.ralstongenealogy.com/kintyrecemeteries.htm

Hi there
Following up my post Crawford / Shedrim ... are there any links for burials in Sherdrim/Sheardrim (now Minard) from 1800 onwards that might help me ::)

What I've been looking for is a link to the burials in Duror Churchyard. I know my great-grandfather and great-grandmother should be buried there (Oban Times) and probably some other family members. But I've never seen any stones for them -- I suspect because they were people who thought stones were symbols of pride and should be shunned at all cost. (Not much help to descendants.) Any hope that there's a list somewhere?

I have listed the cemeteries in Kintyre where you are able to view the list of gravestones and obtain a picture of the memorial stone.

Hi Mackiwi
You've already posted this request - which I separated, because it stands a better chance of being answered as a request, rather than on a Resources thread.
Here it is:

NOTE TO ALL: Please don't post further look-up requests here - they may get overlooked. Start a new thread instead. Thanks!
