Title: BERN, Switzerland, looking for DIETRICH

I am new to this list and am trying to trace the DIETRICH line of my maternal family.
Friedrich Gottlieb DIETRICH was born 1843 in Bern, Switzerland to Johann Jacob DIETRICH and Maria Elisabeth ANKER.

Johann and Maria married 1843 in Erlach, Switzerland.
Johann was the son of Jakob DIETRICH and Mariane WENKER

Maria "may" have been the daughter of Jakob ANKER

Hello, welcome to the forum.
Dietrich (Erlach) originates in the village of Gampelen, as does Wenker.  The churchbooks are on the LDS website so you might want to look there.  For more info on Swiss genealogy research see this website: http://kunden.eye.ch/swissgen/schweiz-en.html
Writing an e-mail to the zivilstandamt (civil registry - see above for info) might prove fruitful with much info if you strike lucky. 
Gampelen is a lovely quiet village.  My late father went to school there!
