Hi,
PRONI has the copy of a will for George Campbell of Ballyvenagh. See http://applications.proni.gov.uk/DCAL_PRONI_WillsCalendar/WillsSearch.aspx

Hi again,
The will mentions the child Harriet. I can find the birth of a Harriet born in Stewartstown on 10 Sept 1866 to George Campbell and Margaret McQuiston. They married on 12 Oct 1854 in Ballyclog Church of Ireland , Cookstown District.
-
that would leave them protestants. mary anne was a catholic, as far as i know, as she married 2 catholic men in catholic churches??

No need to start a new topic so I've merged your latest post with the existing thread to save us from searching for information you already have.

The marriage of George Campbell and Margaret McQuiston was already posted (reply #2)
not sure thou if he had any others
George's Will was mentioned previously (reply #1) and mentions a son Thomas as well as a few other possible children to check further.

I am very unsure about the marriage as to my knowledge he was a catholic I will need to investigate this further.... Would a birth certificate of Mary Anne confirm her mothers identity and where would you look for that and is there any other ways of finding out?
-
Irish birth certificates always list the mother's name. When was Mary Ann born? civil registration of births began in 1864 so before that date there will be no birth certificates.
Why do you think Mary Ann herself was Catholic? if both her husbands were Catholic that could explain why the two marriages took place in a Catholic church.

This should help-
Hariot born 10 Sept.1866 Stewartstown district (page 515 in civil register)- parents George Campbell & Margaret Mcquinton [should probably be McQuiston]

Familysearch Civil Reg. Index shows a Mary Anne Campbell birth registered in nearby Dungannon in 1872. Familysearch Births & Baptisms Index shows an unnamed female born 14 Aug 1872 to a George Campbell and Margaret McQueiston.

There's a George Campbell in Ballyveeny townland in 1901 who's Roman Catholic-

George in 1911 (with wife Sarah)-

When would Mary Ann have been born? or, when did she marry?
Is this her in 1911 by any chance? Children from 1st marriage Musgrave but 2nd husband Joseph McMahon (not Musgrave)-

in 1901 there's a visitor named Harriet McGeown in the household-

Have found an earlier topic of yours which confirmed details in my last post-

The problem on this Campbell thread started when you asked said "Geroge Campbell. he died somrtime in round the turn of the century 1890's.

Ballyveeny is in Cookstown registration district/poor law union whilst Ballyvenagh (where there was a George Campbell who died in 1896) is in Stewartsown district.
According to Mary Ann's marriage in 1897 her father George Campbell was deceased but he could have died anytime prior to that date.

The only Harriet Campbell born Co.Tyrone with father named George that I can find is the Harriot born 1866 which would be 10 years off from 1901 census age. However, I'm inclined to think this is her.
Where did you get the information that George Campbell was from Ballyveeny? Mary Ann's marriage certificate? if so. remember that the residence listed is for the bride (or groom) at the time of their marriage and may not be the place they were born or where their family was living.
