Good Morning
Im following up on some info i was gladly given, Im looking for the birth of Rebecker JOHNSON c 1790 in the Burstead area, also a marriage look up for Thomas BAYFORD & Elizabeth MARSH, the Banns were first read 10/7/1831 in Gt Burstead,(nothing on IGI), thankyou

The Essex records office at Chelmsford for you! ...they would have the dates in their Parish records.
Banns were normally read on 3 consecutive weeks prior to the marriage which normally took place within 2 weeks of Banns..........how did you get one weeks worth of Banns?......Great & Little Burstead came under Billericay district when the census began in 1841.
Parish records would be under Gt Burstead.
Shouldn't be difficult if you was at the ERO..........VERY DIFFICULT IF YOUR NOT!...unless someones visiting.

thanks for the reply, Clincher did some stuff for me & found the Banns, but did not have time to go any further, unfortunately i cant get to Chelmsford

Thomas BAYFORD OTP bachelor and Elizabeth MARSH OTP spinster married by banns 31 July 1831. Both made mark.
Witnesses: Mary BAYFORD and W. MARKWELL (both signed).
Great Burstead ref: D/P 139/1/4 fiche 2 of 3 searched from 1788-1793 no JOHNSONs seen. Just in case it is relevant there was baptism on Oct 26 1788 of Rebecca dau of John JENTRY and Judy PAMPLIN illegitimate
Little Burstead ref: D/P 100/1/2 fiche 2 of 3 searched from 1786-1796 No JOHNSONs seen. Images very poor
Just in case it is relevant saw baptism on July 12 1792 of Rebecca dau of James and Judith ROBERTS
