Hi :),
I am researching my family tree on Keegan and the names were Bernard Keegan and Mary Connor they got married in 1876 but I do not have the marriage certificate and have found the microfilm number. I would like some help about how to get access information via microfilm (as it is in Ireland). Would these records be hold somewhere in Dublin?
Also if anyone have any information on either people. It would be good to know.
Look forward to your reply.
Sam

I've replaced your attachment with a transcript of the relevant details for Bernard Keegan from the FamilySearch website. See :
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FY3C-JPY
A matching entry appears for a Mary Connor, so that name appears somewhere on the same page in the marriage register and a possible bride to Bernard.
You can use these details to order a research marriage certs from the GRO by Post. see :
Ordering Certs from GRO Roscommon (http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,599538.0.html)

also : Introduction to Irish Records (http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,442233.0.html)
p.s. the film numbers relate to the LDS film number of the BMD Index entry, which would not give you any more details.

It's the same process for ordering birth certs - you can use the same order form.
Fill in your details (name & address/credit card etc) on the order form, cross out the other details and write 'See Attached' across that section of the form.
On a separate page note the references for various certs you require. Also mention you require 'research certs' or 'photocopies' . For each record, the GRO need the following details :
name on the cert (either will do for a marriage),
type of record - i.e. Birth, Marriage or Death
year, or year and quarter if given
registration district
volume number
page number
As long as these references are given, and correct, then no searching required and each cert will cost you €4. Research certs are photocopies of the original GRO register.
