Yes I did wonder about that as the first link I found mentioned it going bust about 1929. The I found the second link of
http://www.gullachsen.com/
but on closer inspection that seems to be a modern photographic type company - who knows maybe by a descendant of the furniture store owner.
OP - if you do a search on Lorentz Gullachsen you will find some pictures of what his furniture looked like

The founder of the firm seems to be Lorentz Herman Gullachsen born abt 1846, Bergen, Norway. He died 30th August 1912, at 16 Percy Gardens,
Newcastle Tynemouth, he left £17,364 13s 10d. Probate was granted to his widow Annie Gullachsen, and his son Lorentz Willoughby Gullachsen. He had seven children.
The firm originally was "Carnegie and Gullachsen". In an 1883 catalogue for an exhibition in Gateshead the firm was advertising drawing room suites from between 17 and 40 guineas, and dining room suites from £18 to £40. In the 1879 The Commercial Directory and Shippers Guide, Carnegie and Gullachsen, were at 58 Northumberland Street, Newcastle. In the 1890 Directory they are two separate firms.
