Currently trying to research Ann Burrows (sometimes known as Jane Ann Burrows)
With her having a common name its proving very difficult to research with my family knowing very little about her.
The facts I have are…
Born 1875 the 1911 census she is listed as born and still living in Gorton, Lanc.
By that time married to James John Thompson born Brecon, Wales.
Her children were….
Beatrice
Bertha (my grandmother)
Violet
Stanley
James
William
She died in 1965
Can anyone help?

THOMPSON James J
BURROWS Ann
Higher Broughton ,St James

The marriage was registerd in Sep 1901 ,,so Ann should be in the 1901 census as a single woman.

You need to look up the marriage,,or buy the certificate. I will be able to look up the marriage for you but not for a couple of weeks.

thanks. might be the Rusholme Burrows. Had a few results that could be her family.
If you could get info on the marriage that would help.
Thanks folks.
Had a few family members from Gorton. Thompsons, Burrows, and Millingtons.

Have got the marriage certificate but sadly the writing is so poor on her fathers name and occupation I'm still non the wiser.
Her address looks like it might be 66 St James Road
-
...also think her fathers name might be Thomas.
-
hi,,can u scan and post the image of the marriage cert on the deciphering and recognition forum? ;)
-
Will do.
Found that she lived 65 Bond Street, Broughton as a servant. Born in Gorton but her family were from Rusholme.
Parents were Thomas and Hannah Burrows.
Getting there!
