Can anyone help with information on the marjason family?
I have Mary Jane Marjason married to Ralph Neild, 1862 in Altrincham.
In the 1861 census she gives place of birth as Marham, Lincs, about 1842.
There is a Mary J Marjason in th 1861 census, living as a servant in Manchester, close to where Ralph Neild lives, giving place of birth as Mason/Maron, Lancashire.
There is no Mason/Maron in Lancs.
From the Holton Holgate Parish records I have:
Baptism on 16/08/1857 of George, Elizabeth Anne, William Martin, MARY JANE. Children of Charlotte and Joseph Marges(r?)don?
And:
James Margeson, aged 75, burried 10/02/1879 (Pg 67 No. 530).
Elizabeth Marjason, aged 76, burried 26/07/1887
In 1881 she gives place of birth as Halton Holgate.
Thanks

Thanks for that - it explains a lot, I was worried because the only Marham I could find is in Norfolk, 1 extra letter makes a big difference.
Cheers,

To DCB
David - Thank you for your reply to my query and for spending time. I have managed to get that info from various sources. The Boston / Wrangle info fits the bill.
Are you connected to these people? One of their children is my g/g/grandmother. Regards and thanks again. Dinny.
