Any information on Thomas William Joshia Chandler born 1852. By 1877 he was living in New Zealand and on his marriage cert. he states his birth place as Jersey, UK.

Ohh silly me!
I'm looking for Thomas William Josiah Chandler in an effort to connect him to William Chandler!!!
Thanks for that. Have fixed.

If you look at the amazing web site called Jerripedia you will probably find his birth and ancestors. Most of Jersey birth records are now on line going back to very early times.they are gradually putting marriages and deaths.Very easy to search by looking at the fe churches there.

Ringrose,
I already had a look at Jerripedia!
Nothing for Thomas or William, but a few others?

Within the last hour!! ;D
Presumably the Jerripedia baptisms are all Anglican?
I am still looking for 2 baptisms/births for c1842/3, which I strongly suspect to be Bible Christian!
-
Are any of the family trees on Jerripedia useful.....

For me? No! :(
My family were Vanstone, from North Devon.
Arrived on Jersey 1840-ish, and were in Bath by 1846!
I did find them on the 1841 census, though! ;D

Thanks for your help KGarrad, Looks promising but wrong age! Thomas states his age at 25 on his marriage cert. in 1877 ::)
Although you'd have to wonder how many Thomas William Chandlers could there be in Jersey!
-
He was the closest fit!
And do remember that people didn't always give accurate ages at their weddings!
-
He-he That would make him younger than his bride! so could very well have told a porky or two. The research I have done on him and his bride in NZ doesn't point to honesty! ;D
