As I am not quite certain whether you mean it is the family JAMES B came from or the family JAMES B had which you are seeking, I will offer information about his wife and children-
This is a link to a death notice for EMMA in SMH i28th Mar 1941
http://www.rootschat.com/links/0sbk/
It lists her children
Mary, Emily, James, Selina, George, Joe, Alfred, Evelyn, Harry (perhaps Henry Edward) Gertrude.
She died at the home of Mr Ernest Frazer who was her son-in-law, being married to Gertrude.

To Sparrett,
Thanks for your information, the link to Emma's death notice is helpful as I only had the year and suburb of where she died. I am looking for the family that James Bartholomew Simons came from.
-
I am now aware that James Bartholomew Simons was born in Carcoar NSW about 1850, but unable to find a birth record for him.
-
Welcome to Rootschat, aussie m
Please can you tell us how you came by the information of his birth, and how you know his mother's surname? His marriage certificate should give good information about his parents. If you have the certificate please could you transcribe that information.
I am having difficulty in finding much about him at all. Is he related to the South Australian family?
Every little helps in a genealogical search!

This appears to be JAMES' death
It is a little unusual that his name is not mentioned (as deceased) in the list of children to MARY and JAMES snr per reply #7 -MARY's 1908 death notice.
And of course noting again that he is not listed on the births to the couple either.
However perhaps the family wished only surviving children to be listed in the paper for some reason ???

I am now aware that James Bartholomew Simons was born in Carcoar NSW about 1850, but unable to find a birth record for him.
Adding also if his parents were the SA couple, it is a little odd that they travelled to Carcoar, had JAMES BARTHOLOMEW in 1850 (as well as MARGARET and JOHN the same year in SA) Returned to SA for RICHARD in 1851
Then JAMES BARTHOLOMEW returned to Carcoar for his marriage and rest of his days! ::)

There is a submitted tree on family search which has that birth information - perhaps that's where aussie M found it.

James B Simons's marriage certificate doesn't state who his parents were on where he was born these areas on the certificate are left blank. James and Emma were married in a Presbyterian church. His parents details I found them on Familysearch. I don't believe that he is related to the people from SA but have nothing to prove otherwise. Any help would be most appreciated.

I am not able to see any citations or references to certificates on the submitted tree on FS.
I would ventue to say it is constructed without verification, though a DC may have been seen on which the informant thought, as JAMES B spent most of his life in Carcoar, he was probably born there and so that is where the notion has arisen.
I wish I could locate the item written by one of our chatters- majm- which is very helpful in regard to blanks on certificates.
Can anyone help?

For what it's worth I would agree that your James B SIMONS is not the child of the South Australian couple.
Do you have any of the children's birth certificates which may give info abut the father? Can you say why you think he was born in Carcoar, please?
