I am interested in the baptism record of James Johnson Warren, son of Sarah Warren. Baptised 06 Febr 1820, St. Mathews Parish, Church, Stretford. Sarah is shown as a Spinster, and I am wondering if the original record would show any other (handwritten) comments as to the possible father. I have only viewed the baptism record on Lancashire OnLine Parish Clerks. I believe the records are kept at the Manchester Library, in the Baptisms Register 1813-1836, Page 58, Entry 457. Is this the type of look-up you are able to do ?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Hi,
What a kind offer.
If you are able to check local newspapers could you look for a report of an Inquest held on 7th September 1989 for my cousin Gwendoline Troy Barham (otherwise Hough); she was found dead at her home in Salford. Coroner was David P Blakly (?) writing unclear. I would be very grateful.

Hi not sure how this works so if you have already picked up this request sorry for repeating it but I would be very grateful if you have the time to check a marriage for me.
Margaret Taylor marrying a James Kirk or James Kirk Turnell on 01/02/1838 at Manchester Catherdral. Just wondered what name was given(Kirk or Turnell) and if there was any further information such as occupation etc. I would really like him to be a joiner!!
Thank you

I would be very grateful if you could help me with this search. John Hawksworth was my gt grandfather, born in Manchester around 1852, and was married to Esther Andrew in 1878 at All Souls Church Ancoats. I believe she was his 2nd wife. and I am trying to find out who was his first. I think it could have been an Elizabeth Twemlow Watts, who was born in 1851, and married a John Hawksworth in 1873 at the Collegiate Church Manchester. Elizabeth died, I think, in 1876 aged 25 yrs. I also think they had 1 daughter called Ada. who was born around 1875, in the sub district of Saint George, although I dont know where that is. I am wondering if Elizabeth died in childbirth. John Hawksworth was my gt grandfather and is buried in Droylsden cemetery with 4 other members of my family. I would be most grateful if you could help with any information when you visit the library. / 25.11. I think I have now confirmed that Elizabeth Twemlow Watts was Emanuel's 1st wife, but need to know if she died in childbirth, so could you please look at the certificates for me.. Their daughter Ada was living with her grandparents William & Mary Watts on the 1881 census, and not with her father.

Dear Marie,
If the offer is still open and you still have some time left I would like to take you up on your very generous offer.
Either:
Electoral roll for 46 Rusholme Grove, Rusholme for any years between 1915 and about 1920. I think the records began in 1915 but if they're not available any year will do. I believe some combination of Aldous and Hampson surnames were living at the address.
or
Electoral roll for 2 Birch St, Rusholme, any year from between 1925 and 1929. The family of the above address moved here but I'm not quite sure when.
Don't think I'm asking you to do both, just giving you a choice!
Thank you ever so much!
