Parish records for this area are free to view on www.irishgenealogy.ie
They are under the parish of MUINTERVARA unfortunately they seem to only cover as far as 1880 right before the children were born in 1901 Census.
-
Thankyou for that I'll give it a try.
-
They usually wrote it as Ballycommon see open this link

Did any of the Hurley's marry before 1915 in Boston?
-
Casa23. There is a marriage record for a John Hurley to a Catherine Duggan
April-May-June 1882 Reg District Bantry. Vol 5 Page 21.
As John Hurleys eldest son Jeremiah was born c. 1884 (going by census age) thought this may be a possibility.
There is also a Death registered for a John Hurley Reg District Bantry, Ap-Ma-Jun 1915 age 62 born c 1853 which corresponds with age John gives in 1901 census. Vol 5 Page 15 :)

Casa23. John Hurley is listed as a widower in 1901 census.
If the marriage record is correct 1882 there is a death registered for Catherine Hurley
born c. 1856. Date of Registration Jan-Feb-Mar 1901 age 45
Reg District Bantry. Vol 5 Page 19.Casa23. There is a marriage record for a John Hurley to a Catherine Duggan

Lots more info Mary for you to "digest".
Ref JEREMIAH HURLEY.
In 1910 Census. Jeremiah & Daniel are both single living Boston Ward 3 Suffolk Mass, in the household of Michael McCarthy as lodgers. There is also a Jeremiah O leary there. *You may notice when they emigrated they were going to a cousin Nora O Leary.
Jeremiahs occupation was a Docks labourer. Daniel a motorman with the Electricity board.
In 1920 Jeremiah is married (didnt locate marriage yet) he is in Somerville Ward 2 Boston Mass. with wife Brid, James 7, Catherine 5, Jerome 3, John 6 months. Occupation a FIREMAN.
In 1930. 41 Lewis St, Somerville Mass. same wife/children + 2 more Joseph 7, Ann 4 months. Occupation Stationery Engineer Public Building.
In 1940 still at same address. Jeremiah, Anna (think her name was Bridget Ann) James, Catherine, Jerome, Joseph & Ann.
There is also a record for Jeremiah US World War 1 Draft Reg Cards for Sept 12th 1918.
Going by Irish naming patterns for children, Jeremiah had a daughter CATHERINE whom he may have named after his mother, he also had a John.
Now time for some "shuteye" I think. Regards Frances :o :)

Hi....I just came across this while doing some research on my fathers family, My grandfather was your Grandmothers brother, Jeremiah. I never met him as he passed away before I was born. he emigrated to Boston with his 3 brothers. I am on vacation in Dublin and spent the day at the genealogy museum and was able to get quite a bit of information. We are leaving for Cork in a few days and I am hoping to get to Durrus. I actually have a plot map of the Hurley farm of 52 acres that I got while I was in Dublin. I was really interested in what happened to your grandmother as she was the only girl and my name maiden name is Mary Hurley.
I hope this message finds its way to you.

A search like this on https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp will get any Civil Reg for them in Bantry District
from there one can select Births or whatever and narrow them down by Decade etc via list on left.
The Irish Govt website is free, one needs to solve Captcha and sign in. Some of the earlier ones don't have Images of Certs at moment but will have as updates occur
https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/civil-records/help/what-civil-records-are-on-line gives years covered etc
Link http://www.rootschat.com/links/01odv/ to records with the captcha and use initials to sign in.
If one needs a different surname just do a new search etc....
