'Edward' seems to have been a popular name in the Worboys families. The grave photo shown on the austcemindex site is for Edward Thomas WORBOYS; age on the MI and NSW BMDs confirm that this man was born 1866 to Thomas WORBOYS and Mary BOND. Edward T WORBOYS married Mabel FOOT, 1901, reg Quriindi.
It is Edward C Worboys who is the father of Gordon J WORBOYS not Edward Thomas WORBOYS.
Incidentally the other MI photo for WORBOYS at Quirindi General Cemetery is for a Rivis WORBOYS who is the son of Edward T and Mabel WORBOYS.
This is probably the birth for Edward C WORBOYS
12645/1867 Edward C WORBOYS, parents: WILLIAM, CHARLOTTE; reg at MURRURUNDI
And a matching death:
19691/1940 Edward Cochrane WORBOYS, parents: WILLIAM, CHARLOTTE; reg at CESSNOCK

I think the Rootsweb link that Muss gave with parent names is on the right lines. Do you want any earlier info? Seems as though the family may be fairly easy to track back a bit further.
