How difficult is it to find details of a marriage when the most I know is that they lived in Wexford - believed to be in the Town itself, although Ballandinas is a name that's been mentioned in stories.
Their names were Robert Parle and Annie Lambert, their eldest child was born in Liverpool in 1868 (year calculated from the 1871 census) so I would expect their marriage to be 1867 or a little earlier. I do believe it was in Ireland and not Liverpool that they married, and yes I have searched the UK indexes.
Their children went, so I believe to the Sacred Heart Convent School in Wexford.
I know with such sparse information I'm not likely to be lucky enough to get the look up, I'm more wondering about advice than anything.
Thanks for your time.

Hello Mary A,
Try this for starters, and I'm sure more will follow;

Thank you Jack, I've been in touch with this group before, but many of them seem so knowledgeable about the geography of Ireland, and ask me whether I've looked at the Griffiths and which townland they were from etc. and I have no idea. I was hoping that the place of the marriage would actually give me more clues as to how to proceed with the wheres that I don't know ....... oh dear, does that make sense?

Thanks Jack, lots of support, that's what I love about Rootschat! :o
familysearch is a place where I check back every so often, especially since I found another long lost suddenly popping up after searching for about 2 years, but unfortunately none of those Annies seem to belong to me :'( , I think mine was born approximately 1847 - 1871 = 24 years old. The LDS do seem to update their site from time to time though, so I'll keep checking back.
Best wishes
Mary

I think there is more than one place named Maudlintown in Co. Wexford - do you know which one your Lamberts came from ?
The Maudlintowns I can find are a townland just south of Wexford town, a townland close to Wellingtonbridge, and a town (Maudlins Town) close to NewRoss

sounds like it could be the one just south of Wexford town .. hopefully someone will recognise that pub you mentioned.
Do you know names and approximate dates ?
(just be careful not to mention details of anyone living, as it's not permitted on RootsChat to help preserve privacy.)

I believe that the current Brady's Pub is the former 'Paddy Purcell's' - picture here.

Paddy Purcell married a Rossiter from Dolphin Rd, Maudlintown. A family of Lambert's lived in Antelope Road - Maudlintown.
Source: Mum, so this would be around the 1950's.

That Is the pub wonder if you have any info on a LAMBERT family living in Whitehill Wexford Eire thanks for your help.

Are you on Facebook? search Wexford on there as there are a few groups interested in the history and people of Wexford, they may also be able to help.
Just in case you were trying to connect with my Lamberts, I have now found the marriage and they came from the centre of Wexford, living in Main Street.

Thank's I now believe the Lambert ( my dad) came from the Whitemill area just trying to find out more. Remember going into Simon Lambert's bar in the main street about 1974.
Thanks again
