Post by: BegClonrode .... on Saturday 10 November 12 04:52 GMT (UK)
Hi all...

My library doesn't have the following fiche. Would some kind soul be able to do a look-up of the burial record please.

DUTTON, Bridget Ann - d.1932 - 76 years - Q09.12 Halswell - Mount Magdala

Absolutely no hurry :-)

Many thanks
Beg

HI Bridgey
The fiche Beg wants are in reference to the burial locator
and link back to the NZSG Collection for cemeteries/burials
By looking them up you can get burial information and Monumental inscriptions. An invaluable resource located at many libraries and NZSG branches around New Zealand

Bye
Althea

I've got it and looked it up, all it says is

 19 Jan 1932, DUTTON Bridget Ann, 76

Mount Magdala is a private cemetery :)

Hello Linda,

Thanks very much for the look-up.

I think it ties in with a Chch Library look-up which Jean kindly did for me last week. And there's not much else I can find about Bridget so now I'm reasonably happy to spend some money on a certificate or two.

Have googled Mt Magdala and apparently it's now a des-res subdivision. A hundred years ago I think it was a Women's Refuge in all but name. I guess that's progress :-)

All the best
Beg
