hi,
I have a very specific question about the NZ electoral rolls. In 1949 there must have been two as my partners mother and father have two separate entries. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT MONTHS THE TWO WERE TAKEN IN.
This is important as my partner was born in early April 1950 and her mother is still with her first husband on the first electoral roll and with her second husband to be on the second electoral roll.
Thanks

Many people can appear on two, enrolled in one area and moved to another area etc
If you look at the last page of each roll, you will see a list of voters numbers that may have been removed..also difference between lain roll and supplementary
you find examples where people are still on roll year or so after their death!!
chekck that last page and see if the voter number is included in the list
Bye
