Can anyone help me find either the death or divorce of Ella Belle SUFFEL nee Sexton between 1901 and 1910 please? She and her husband Fred Suffel lived in Leeds Grenville Co .
Ella had married Fred Suffel in 1901- I have that Ontario marriage info.
In 1910 Fred Suffel married a Kittie Campbell in Ontario.
In a later US census [California] both state this 1910 is their first marriage. I'm curious about what they are hiding.
Any help , info, guidance much appreciated.
Thanks,
charlotte

Maybe not quite what you are after but there is this...
Ontario Canada Marriages
Leeds 26th Sept 1928
Casper Stuart BOOTH Father = Stuart M BOOTH Mother = Lois MOXLEY
Vera Bella CORNELL Father = George CORNELL Mother = Ella SUFFEL
Does this mean that Ella SUFFEL remarried to George CORNELL??
Cheers

Well well...thanks Karenlee. In the reference you found it would seem to mean that an Ella Suffel married a George Cornell.
Maybe there was a divorce and"my" Ella then married George Cornell. The time frame allows for this... Vera could have been 20+ at time of marriage.
I guess now I need to find the marriage of the Ella and George you have found to see who her parents were, and then if relevant ,find the divorce of Ella and Fred Suffel. More and more intriguing
Zephina Sexton ans Ann[?]Halladay were the parents of my Ella Belle Sexton.
Thanks, KL ;D

From the 1911 census (free at this link below), it appears that George and 'Ella' have been married for a number of years and have quite a few children. They are living in Brockville.

There is a marriage of a George Cornell to a Hannah Idella Suffel in 1893.

There are a number of family trees at Ancestry that indicate Ella died 3 Feb 1905 in Winchester, Ontario but there isn't a source for the information in the trees I checked.

Jacquie, Charlotte seems to have solved this one (see link). Ella can be found in the OCFA website although there does not appear to be a death record on line.

From the time stamp of the post in the other thread (made after the posts about Vera Cornell but before your post in this thread about the census which shows it's a different family) I didn't know if the "resolved" meant the Cornell marriage or whether the cemetery information she was requesting was received.

If Charlotte poked around the internet like I suggested, and then also did myself out of curiosity, she googled the Halladay Burial Grounds and found her answer on that website. The death and burial info for Ella is there. Would be nice to find the actual death registration to go with it but it seems to have been missed from the index. Either that or it is horribly mistranscribed. So I assumed that Ella's death had been resolved.

Thank you Jaquie, PB, Karenlee for help and suggestions.
the matter is resolved- Ella died .
My curiosity was stimulated by learning that her husband, Petter SUFFEL said in a US census[1930 from memory] that his marriage to his then wife Kittie, was his first marriage.
Thank you all again.
