I have been researching my Jewish ancestors and sometimes when I "Google" a name, I come across a web site " www.sefardies.org ". This web site looks as if it has been an excellent resource for individual ancestors from what is seen on Google, but it no longer seems to exist!
Has anyone come across this web site before and does anyone know what has happened to it? Has the name has changed?

Hi Sue,
There is a sefardies_org account on Twitter, but it seems to be current affairs, not genealogy.
Or there's this forum within the JewishGen website
http://www.jewishgen.org/sefardsig/SefardForum.htm
which looks more like it. Apart from the forum there seem to be several links to family names on the home page, if you browse around.

Thank you for that. I already know aboutjewish gen as I have been using it. Interesting about twitter though, I shall have a look.

Thank you everyone for your contributions and interest. It has been a valuable site for those of us researching our Jewish ancestors and hopefuly one day the information will be put on another site and we will be able to use it.

Sue Sefardies.org Close for financial problems. We got many problems include the Mormons send to us a letter from USA with a expensive lawyer for try to close our databases. But we laugh about that other problems. Anyway all the info in sefardies.org is keep in secure place. What going on now? I go to explain the domain sefardies.org no go to come back again but all the databases go to be restore in a new domain. Users go to have also the option to make search with one app for Android - Iphone and blackberry . Probably for the month of September every think is again Online.
If any one here have any Jewish gedcom like to share please contact with me at any time .

Thank you for making contact :) . It is good to know that information is safe and we will be able to see again one day. There are many of us with Sephardi ancestors and I was so surprised to find that I had the Pardo Rabbi's in my family and also Morteira as my about 10th Ggrandfathers
