Title: 1918 POW

my grandfather was released  as a Pow about 1918 he was from Ireland was sent back to the UK  i know he died in 1920 in a military hosiptal in england  would like to know if he was home been 1918/1920.

Have you tried searching for his service/pension documents?

The link to the Red Cross site will be disappointing: they are not currently handling any enquiries while their records are digitised, so there is hope for the future.
