I am trying to trace down any details concerning my grandfather's second wife. Her name was Cora Holleran Cuft McMahon. My grandfather was John McMahon. This was Cora's third marriage. Her previous married names were Holleran and Cuft. They married in Our Lady of Lebanon Church (Catholic) in Niagara Falls New York and lived in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. According to my aunt, Cora was an American and she is buried in Niagara Falls, New York. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Genealiza,
Thank you for finding these documents!! I will follow up, particularly her possible engagement/marriage to William Kieb. My Aunt may have been incorrect about the Cuft name.

Hi Genealiza,
I am wondering if Cora is the adoptive daughter of Daniel and Emma Brooks or of one of their sons and Sarah Brooks (their daughter-in-law on the 1880 US Census. Daniel and Emma are old enough to be grandparents but I will search further. Thanks again!

Looks like John Henry Cust died and Cora returned to Niagara Falls (29 May 1934) The death record for him gave a date of death 23 April 1934 Grantham. Ontario.
On the border crossing it says Cora Cust nee Halloran - nee Washburn. Born Crown Point. New York. Had been in the USA from birth 25 June 1876 to May 1930.
Son John Halloran. Oswego. New York.

Sandra,
You are truly amazing! I believe that Sgt Harold McMahon should be Sgt Hugh McMahon and they would be going to Camp Borden, Ontario. Your last post refers to my mother, Mrs. Alastair Blair. I was typing this reply when you added the marriage announcement. Thanks again.
