Could someone look up information about my 2nd great grandfather's parents?
His name was Thomas Henderson, born c.1833. He married Mary Carson in 1871 at Drumlee Presbyterian Church, Banbridge, Co.Down. I don't know who his parents were, and would like to try and trace as far back as possible.
Thanks in advance.

Marriage certificates only list names of fathers- mothers are not included.

Hello again :)
I second what Aghadowey says, mothers not included on marriage certs.
I found the marriage on Thomas Henderson and Mary Carson 1871 in Banbridge (PR). From a bit of messing around with names, Thomas's father is William Henderson.

:) Thanks everyone.
Reading the will of Alexander Carson on PRONI was amazing. The only name i could not make out in it was his daughter Sarah's married surname. It did state she was living in Liverpool.
Can anyone else make out what her surname is?

"Sarah Carson or Martin of Liverpool"

Hi,
For interest. 29 Sept 1863 Adam Martin married Sarah Carson in Ballyroney Presbyterian Church, Banbridge District. The fathers were George Martin and Alexander Carson.

Thomas Henderson, born 1833,died 1904. He married Mary Ann Carson(1837-1917). I think his father was called William. Lived in Derryogue, Kilkeel.
What i wanted to know is: did he have any brothers or sisters? He had a son called William Henderson, born 1877.
Are they related to a William Henderson from Cranfield,Kilkeel? If so, how?
Thanks. :)
