hi, i was wondering if anyone could help me find a grave. ellen foy died about 1959 she is buried in moston cemetary manchester, please thank you mccue .

The office at St Joseph's are usually very helpful and will look up the grave number if you have an exact date of death however if you don't have an exact date I think they have started charging (£15.00 with the name, month and year and £30.00 if you only have the name and year according to the website).

It might be a cheaper option to buy the death certificate and then enquire with the exact date. Nothing would be lost by writing or emailing first though.

i have e-mailed the Salford Diocese on 2 occasions asking if they couldhelp...i quoted the name and free bmd reference,,and both times a very kind lady replied and gave me the grave plot numbers,,,,hope you are as succesful. ;)

They have always been really helpful when I have contacted them but it was a while ago now.  I think the charges have only recently been introduced.  Best of luck.

hi gortonboy thank you i live in darwen lancs i do come from manchester i was born in salford then moved to woodhouse park so of my relatives are there so i visit southern cemetry and philip park thank you so much i will let you no if i get a result thanks margaret.
