Could anyone find the death of Joseph Hugh Campbell born 1841 in England, last seen in the 1930 census in North Mankato, Minnesota?

There is a tree on Anc**try for a
Joseph Hugh Campbell, born July 1841, Yarmouth, Norfolk, England
Lived in North Mankato in 1930
Died October 26, 1931, Nicollet, Minnesota

Update:  It appears this might be your tree?

Thanks for this. I just discovered it after I made the query. I think it must be him because in 1830 he was living in Nicollet. But the age seems a little high, he was christened in Norfolk England in 1841 (as Joseph Hugh Callf) so might have been born earlier, Throughout, the US censuses are clear that he was born around 1841ish not 1838. Also he was married to Helen Eastoe but was already a widow in 1930. But the worst is that his father is given as John whereas it was Hugh. Maybe the informant was not so well informed?

PS He was my second great grandfather, with a very interesting story to tell.

Birth dates on census can be eratic, the 1900 Census gave birth year 1839  ;)

Noticed the family tree entry had no death date for Helen, so perhaps this is her. Born 1839 England. The address is the same as showing on the 1900 Census.

Wonderful that's Helen Eastoe. Thanks.

And I saw the 1900 census age for Joseph again just now. (I did this work ages ago)

I'm not sure about the John as Father bit.

But how do you get so easily to these US state death records on Family Search, they don't come up when I use it (or not easily)?

PS my tree is on Ancestry under Lewis Hodek Allen Grisdale (user slewis571)

Best wishes

Stephen
