Joseph BRETT marr Ann PASK 28 Jun 1814 at Walsh Le Will. Can anyone help with info about any of their families please?

Hi
What information do you have from census on this couple - place and approx date of birth. :)

Hi Rosie,
1841 census -
Joseph Brett age 50 (b 1791?) and Ann Brett age 45 (b 1796?) lived at Sims farm Kedington with 4 children - Joseph, Rebeckah, Sarah, and John.
There was a William Brett living at Lodge House - poss their son?
And Betsey Brett living at Mill Street, age 65 - poss his mother?
I don't have a 1851 census for them.
Joseph Brett died 1854 in Kedington age 68 (b 1786?)
Ann Brett died 1853 in Kedington age 62 (b 1791?)
Does this help?
Thanks :)

In 1851 the occupant of Sims Farm was a John Brett - unmarried- age (59 ?) ag lab bn Kedington. :-\ He was living next door to William age 35 and his wife Sarah.
I can't see them at the moment in 1851 :-\

Re the Death dates you have for Joseph/Ann.
FreeBMD has no Death Reg for Joseph c 1854 in Risbridge Reg area, there are ones Dec 1849/March 1851. Both of these if him would mean he would not appear on the 1851 Census.

Hi Trish :)
I have just looked at the original index on freebmd and there is a Joseph Brett, it looks as though they have it transcribed as John.
Deaths Sep 1854
BRETT John Risbridge 4a 284
I am going to report it ;D

Thanks Rosie :)
Still cant find them in 1851 ::)

Thanks Rosie and Trish.
Also interesting 1841 Census Kedington
John PASK age 40 lived at Divers (?)
George PASK age 40 lived in Mill Street - with his dau Emily PASK
Emily PASKE (b 1831?) and John BRETT (b1832) were witnesses at the marriage of Stephen PATCH and Sarah BRETT(B1829)
Betsey BRETT also lived in Mill Street
So, I think Ann PASK and the BRETTs are close :)
I wonder if there's a link between John PASK, George PASK and Ann PASK?

Thanks for replying, suffolkmawther,
but Divers (?) was a location on the 1841 census for Kedington - like Sims Farm, Mill Street and Lodge House.
I wasn't sure of the handwriting for "Divers"
All those places had BRETTs or PASKs living there in 1841.
Thanks, though. :)

In 1851 Joseph and Ann are living in Hundon. Ancestry has them transcribed as BUTT :P
HO107/1787/509/25
This census says Ann was born in Sturmer,Essex. so have found the following baptism.
St. Mary, Sturmer
Ann Pask
15th September, 1793
dau of Henry and Mary

In many villages, areas and houses/cottages were known by the name of the occupants, hence Smith's Cottage, Brown's Cottage, White's Cottage - whereas today they may be known as April Cottage, Lilac Cottage, Wheelwrights Cottage.
