Title: Gordon Williams

I am looking for any information on Gordon Williams married Joyce Riddell in Eton in 1950.Gordon emigreted to America with his parents when he was a child. The family returned to England in 1932 without his father,i beleive he returned later. Any help would be very welcome.

It might help if you give us some information on Gordons parents.  Are Gordon and his wife still living  :-\

Thank you both for your replies al i have is as follows.

Gordons parent were Allen and Olive Williams. Gordon was born in Grantham Lincolnshire in 1919 in 1920 the family emigrated to America and ran a buisness in Massachusetts.

In 1932 Olive returned to England bringing Gordon and Dorothy with her there father Allen stayed in America.They first returned to Cadbey in Leicestershire.

I next have Gordon marrying Joyce Riddell in 1950 in Eton (They had a child who may still be living so i will not give name ).

Gordon Died in 1991 in Leicestershire.
Olive Williams(Mother )   Died in 1973 in Leicestershire
Allan Williams ( Father )  Died in 1979 in Gloustershire, when he returned to UK i dont know.

Hi Neil

Can you be a bit more specific about what you are trying to find out?

Are you looking for information about his parents and their date and place of marriage?

Are you trying to find out when the family went to America?

Or something else?

 I have all the information on there early lives and there time in America.What i would like to find out is what they did on there return to England.

 Why did they come back to England.

When did Gordons father Allen returned to the UK.
And what did Gordon do for a living.

Just some last questions to finalise my research on the family.

My link to the family is My paternal Grand mother was Olive Wiliams sister.

Allen Williams also returned to England  in 1932 -
Antonia arriving Liverpool from New York/Boston  25th Apr 1932

His entry appears to give his place of boarding as Boston

Proposed address 56 High Street, Grantham his occupation was a chauffeur age 41
