Hi all. I am looking for a marriage of my great grandfather Alfred BUCKTHORPE b.01 August 1892. There was some scandal in my family and my G grandmother chucked him out and I can not find any further record of him as the family disowned him. There was talk of him marrying again and setting up another family but all my searching has led to nothing. He was married to my GGM Jane FERDINANDO on 25 Dec 1917 and they split up around 1943-44.

Do you have his school addmission, he can be traced in the electoral rolls with Jane. There is a Alfred Fredrick with an Emily later, was this his son?

Sorry Edith not Emily.

There is a marriage to an Edith Stowers 1948.

Hi
To marry again, as opposed to living with someone else there would have to have been a divorce. You mention the family disowned him you don't mention his wife divorced him. She would be the one who at the time, would have the grounds for divorce.
His death certificate will give you who registered the death and if he left a will who benefitted from the estate. Online probate indexes only go up to 1966. There doesn't appear to have been a second marriage as shown in the GRO indexes for an Alfred Buckthorpe. There are marriages for Alfred's with second initials.
