Post by: jilly43 on Friday 12 October 12 17:56 BST (UK)
Would anyone be able to find if there was a Will in the name of Robert Hardcastle Johnston died 1901/2,  at 3 Royal Terrace, Weston-super-Mare....or his wife Annie Johnston died 1906.
Or if there is a free online source to look this up.
Thanks very much  Jilly

Thank you very much for that information, most useful in my research...I was told there was properties involved...would these amounts have just been cash or could these have been total assets including property if this was the case...
Thank you very much.  Jilly

You can order copies of the wills and grants of probate, cost is only £6 each. Info on this page: postal application to Leeds, details some way down the page. http://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/probate/copies-of-grants-wills

For probate in the 20th century, the value includes real property, so the answer to your question is that this was total assets.
