Who are you looking for - there are 2 families there in 1901

James H Maynard, wife Maria and 5 children

James E Dibble, wife Elizabeth and 5 children

Let me know if you need details.

I am trying to find an Arthur Henry Jellett.
On his brothers service records it gives next of kin as "elder brother living 15 Ferdinand Place 1901".
As I can't find Arthur in the census by name i thought I would try by looking at the address.
Obviously though he isn't there!!
Thank you any way

I do not know if you are aware of this but FreeBMD has the birth of a Arthur Henry Jellett in the December qtr of 1873 in the Edmonton Reg.District

No other records on FreeBMD unless a spelling error somewhere!

Yes that is him. I have him in the 1881 census but can't find anything else on him apart from him being mentioned in his brother's service records. It appears he was also a soldier from what it says in those srvice records but can't find Arthur in the service records, census (91, 01, 11) marriages or deaths

That's the only place I could see him as well. What is the date on his brother's records where he is given as NOK?

Originally he gave his father as next of kin. His brother seems to have been added later and it looks like it has been penciled in.
The record is found inthe Chelsea pensioner records on "find my past" website under Frederick Jellett.
Can't find Frederick in 1901 but from record i see he is posted abroad then so maybe Arthur was. I can't find Frederick in 1911 though and it says he was discharged in 1902.

I have wondered if the Frederick who died in Folkstone is my Frederick. He is about the right age. There is another Frederick born around the same time who married a Florence Hall but this is not my Frederick.
Thanks for the baptism of Arthur.
