Hi
Just recently joined this site, so apologies if I haven't grasped the correct method of posting yet!
I am interested in finding fellow researchers who may have links to the surname of LONGDON in India, especially Bombay. My 4 x great grandfather. JAMES LONGDON, was located in Bombay circa 1806 with wife REBBECCA and children:-
Mary Ann/Marianne
Joseph
Sarah Rose
Above born in England
and
Caroline born Bombay 1807
Family embarked from Gravesend in Kent, but were previously living in Limehouse, London. James & Rebbecca married in Rotherham (Yorkshire) 26 November 1794. James died in Surat, Bombay circa August 1809 and Rebbecca remarried in June 1810 to Murdoch MACKENZIE
Joseph returned to England before 1822 and his 3 sisters married in India.

Hi there, Do we know what happened to Marianna Longdon after her husband William Ward dies of cholera in 1819 ? I found a document that says she had four children and had been left destitute?

Thanks for contacting me. Unfortunately I do not have any further information regarding Maria Ann Ward, but would be grateful if you could send me a link to where you found the information on her children please, so that I can update my family tree.
Thanks and all best wishes
