Hello

Did William and Mary have a daughter also called Mary who married George Garbutt ( my 3 x Great Grandfather) in Hornblotton in 1837?

Regards.

I can find on 1 Child for Samuel/Mary Cleves;
ERNEST Baptised St Peter, 17 Oct 1829, Abode Longton, Fathers Occp Labourer

Is this the 1841 you have?
George Garbett   40
Mary Garbett 40
George Garbett 20
Thomas Garbett 7
Sarah Garbett 10
Edward Garbett 12
Mary Garbett 5**
Elia Garbett 2

I would think that Mary age 5 is Mary Cleaves whose Baptism I gave earlier

I see a Tree has Mary Snr dying 1843

Burial is on FreeREG 1843 age 40, abode Pike Lane
Son HENRY buried 1843 age 8mths same abode, baptised 18 Dec 1842 to George (Shoemaker) and Mary

Hello Trish!!!

Thanks for all your help - that's amazing - poor old George - I've tracked down at least 14, maybe even 16, children and step children along the way and three wives - thank goodness he kept going as my direct descendant Martha was one of the last!!  Still haven't managed to find out where George aged 20 came from - I know that George Snr's father (also called George just to confuse things) moved to Birmingham, Warwickshire in 1816 where his last child Isaac was born, so maybe I have to snoop around there. He had a good life and ended up back in Beverley, Yorkshire and the wee terraced house is still there!!Ah well - will have to wait until this evening - it's Valentines day and we are off to a Motorcycle museum..... that goodness I've got a knitting and stitching fair to look forward to next month to get me through today!!!

Thanks again Trish

Regards.
