Please could the crease be removed from this and the picture be coloured.
I think the photo must have been taken about 1915 as it is my grandparents and my aunt (born 1908) and uncle (born 1913) I dont think it is much later as the next child was born in 1916. My grandmother, aunt and presumably my uncle all had fair hair.
Thank you
Jan

Here's one from me.

Thank you GS, that is absolutely beautiful. As my father was her youngest child I only knew my grandmother as an old lady, so I was delighted to receive photos of her as a young woman.
-
They certainly were a handsome family!
-
Nice photo!! Is it English - it feels as if it is not. ;)
-
Little different tone.
Wiggy :)

one from me.., tommy

Hi Jan.........One from me also.
Carolyn :)

Hi Jan,
A clean up for you. Splendid photo.
Maggie :)

... and with a bit of a tweek.
A colour may follow tomorrow - time constraints today.
Maggie ;)

Thank you all for the lovely restores, I am very grateful.
It is English Wiggy, probably taken in West Ham where they lived at that time. Although my Grandfather's parents were German he was born here and my Grandmother came from Essex.
-
Another one, Jan.
Maggie :)
oops - posted wrong one
Hopefully this is the right one ;)
-
wow, some of these are amazing! what a talented bunch of people
-
Spot the difference ;D
Maggie ;)

Thank you very much Maggie, they are lovely.
As bloggy says, what a talented bunch of people you all are. You can change an ordinary, quite drab photo and bring it, and the people, to life.
I know that you all say that you enjoy doing it, but you give a lot of people pleasure - not only those whose photos you restore but also those who just enjoy looking at the before and after photos. Thank you all.

Thank you for your lovely words, Jan and bloogy. I enjoy bringing them back to life and I'm sure the others feel exactly the same.
Your little group are delightful, Jan. Can't you just tell that the photographer has carefully positioned the children's hands on Mum's knee? The little one in particular is concentrating so hard not to move his hand. Delightful.
Maggie :)
PS - Only just realised I've picked almost the same colour scheme as GS - that was coincidence 'cos I've only just noticed now. ::)
-
I can't tell the difference - unless the bloke has had one extra glass of beer between shoots!
My knee/thigh would be tickling if it were mine the children were touching! ;D ;D
Kind words indeed Jan and bloogy :D
Wiggy :)

I can't tell the difference
A bit of work on the girl's dress and I gave her a pink bow. I tried to calm dad's complexion down but obviously failed ;D.
Just playing really.

Oi - you weren't supposed to say - I thought it was a game and there'd be a prize ! ;D ;D
-
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I'd given up on you all as I posted it at 11.37 yesterday.
However as Pels has obviously worked so hard on this and actually spotted bits I'd not mentioned she HAS WON ............ although exactly what she has won I haven't yet decided. :-\
-
Looking at Pels' post of your pic Maggie, reminds me that I forgot to colour in the flower on mine. I knew there was something I'd missed - there always is! Love your restore and colouring btw!
-
A bit lighter, with rose!
-
Thanks again for the colouring GS.
I'm sure that just the mention of her name as the winner will be enough for Pels ;D ;D
I wonder if my grandmother was remembering the child who was missing from this photo - her second daughter, Gertrude who died aged one in 1912.
-
Hi Groom
Had a bit of fun with your photo. Hope it's okay.
Regards
Caroline
