Hi, A few days ago I visited Bowhill Cemetery at Cardenden looking for my ancestors and took many photos. In the area of the Bowhill Memorial I noticed a headstone for a George Paterson who died 6th June 1925 but unfortunately did not take a snap of this.
Since arriving home in Nottingham I now realise this George Paterson was my husband's great Uncle who was tragically killed at Dundonald Colliery.
Is there anyone who may live in the town who could take a photograph of the headstone?
Hope you can help.

Rosie have you had any success with this yet? I note you posted this back in September. I visit Cardenden often because my partner's family lives there, just wanted to check whether you have since been able to get a photograph.

Hi Jo
Thank you for your reply. If it's not too much trouble we would love a photo of the headstone if you can find it. We won't be visiting in that area for a long time. Also we found out his parents must be buried nearby too if you can spot them.
George Paterson died 6th June 1925 aged 38
Parents:
William Paterson died 7 Jan 1920 aged 55
Helen (Sutherland) Paterson died 2nd April 1922 aged 57
Thank you for your trouble. I have left my details in a Personal Message

Hi Rosie, got your details.
Next time I'm there I'll go have a look for you and see what I can do (weather permitting).
I'm not so mobile as I once was due to arthritis in both hips, but nevertheless will gladly go hunting for you because I might find some connected to my partner's family as well. This cemetery is long overdue a visit by me. :)
