The electoral roll listing for Peter and Ellen living at Rutherglen is a good example of a listing at an address is no guarantee that the person is living there at that time. Peter and Ellen were living in Collingwood by 1907.

I'm afraid he was in and out of trouble during the 1920's and in this instance, his brother was an accomplice.

Thank you so very much for the information. I had some but did not have the photo of him during WWI.

Was there something in particular you had hoped to find?
Sometimes quite specific inquiries can be very successfully addressed in the forum.
Sometimes being specific in your search query saves doubling up by the team when they offer what you already know. ;D

New to this and realised I need to be more specific. Trying to find out whether John Blanch, miner of Rutherglen was related to Peter Michael Blanch, baker of Rutherglen.
Death registration for John Blanch does not show parents so cannot go any further. He came from Scotland. Probate does not give any clues either.
I know from electoral rolls that:
1903: Peter, a miner and wife, Ellen shown at Lilliput, Great Southern, Vic.
1909: Peter Michael, a baker and wife Ellen Theresa and a John Blanch, a miner and his wife, Margaret lived at Rutherglen, Vic. The rolls do not show the exact address of each so they may or may not have lived together.
And Peter, a labourer and wife Ellen at 26 Butler Street, Richmond, Vic.
1914: Peter Michael, a baker and Ellen lived at 50 Cambridge Street, Collingwood, Victoria.
I have researched my Blanch family completely so need no information on them.

Ah that's different ;D
No need to repeat what has been posted on the thread ;D
John was 76 when he died in 1917 so born c 1841 so definitely not a sibling.
Yes his marriage registration shows he was born in Scotland but if you purchased the marriage certificate it would give his parents including his mother's maiden name.

BLANCH John born Scotland
HEAD Margaret born Scotland

His death certificate would be useful as it would give his time in Australia and then hopefully you may find him on the Scottish census prior to his emigration.

Thank you. I will order the marriage certificate.
