Trying to find my Grandfather in 1921 census
William John West
DoB 10/01/1901
DoD 15/05/1961
Here they are in 1911
1911 Census:
Age 10
Living at 25 Sanford Terrace, Stoke newington
Father - John William 46yrs
Mother - Rosina Agatha 45yrs
Brother - Phillip Benjamin 17yrs (labourer Hackney) born 1894
Sister - Louisa Beatrice 14yrs (Charing Hackney) born 1897
Brother - Thomas John 13yrs (School Hackney) born 1898
Brother - William John 9yrs born 1902 (but actual DoB was 1901
Sister - Maud Harriet 7yrs born 1904
Brother - Ernest Albert 4yrs born 1907
Would appreciate any help and if anyone is feeling very generous, 1931 would be good too!
Thanks

Sadly, the 1911 is the most recent census we have access to Gary.
Kind regards,
Pels.

This might help :
The 1921 census and all later censuses which survive remain in the custody of the Office for National Statistics and not The National Archives. No information will be available from these censuses for 100 years after the date they were conducted.

Ah thanks - totally misunderstood that. Here's to 2022 then :(

Have tried to pick him up on the electoral rolls without success.
Have found what looks like his brother Philip Benjamin West
In 1932 Philip B & Harriet West are at 26 Grayling Road
1939-1951 Philip B & Harriet 12 Orpen Road South Hornsey
Ernest A West 1946 with Doris L at 15 Albion Drive
1960 with Doris & Clifford & Kenneth E at 15 Trumans Road N.16
West is a common name but the names and address may mean some thing to you?

Hi,
The 1931 census for England and Wales was destroyed in a fire in 1942; the Scottish census was not affected because it was stored in Edinburgh.

Thanks Jan & Jennifer - you can see I'm new to all of this.
Looks like I am going to have look into the electoral rolls if I want to find location details at least beyond 1911.

Hi
What's wrong with attempting to track thru (what is written on) marriage/death certs?
eg (I am not saying that these are actuals)
Marriage Dec 1925 Maud H E West / ? Rowham Bethnal G. 1c 358a
Marriage Jun 1929 Louisa B / ? Pope Hackney 1b 568
Death Dec 1930 Rosina A West (64y) Hackney 1b 397
Marriage Sep 1931 Ernest A West / ? Watts Stoke N'ton 1b 962
Haven't the family got most of them (and others) ?
