Hi - I've just joined, so don't know what I'm doing. I've been trying to trace members of my great-grandmother's family without much success: Frances Peel of Longbenton, Northumberland, UK. She married Thomas Richardson and one of their sons was John Peel Richardson, my grandfather. Is there anybody out there with connections?

My goodness, that was quick! Thank you. I do in fact have all these members in my family tree, but am looking for earlier ancestors as well as relatives living today. I see that there is a Peel in your system but haven't worked out how to access her or her information.

It is RootsChat policy not to mention living, or potentially living people.

Have you looked at the Surname interests?
On the toolbar, near the top of the page, starting with Welcome, and Forum, is a button for Surnames.
Click on that and you can see if anyone else is interested in your names.
Easy-peasy!! ;D
Which particular family members are you having trouble with?
I/we don't want to provide you with a lot of information you already have!
Names, dates, places please ;D

Thanks for putting me right. I only know my own Peel line, so can't provide names or dates etc., However, following your instructions I'll have another go, because I did see one Peel in your members list.
Thanks again,
JuneP

It's a while since I called Rootschat so have just seen your entries, etc. I'm looking for Thomas Richardson, born Walker, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland c1895. 1911 Census shows him 16 years, living with his family in Gateshead, Durham as a driver, coal miner. His parents were Matthew Richardson (b.1864, Sacriston, Durham) & Caroline Louisa Marshall (b.1873, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire). Any connections?

Hello Gordon,
I do have a Thomas Richardson born Walker c1895, miner, but his parents were Thomas Richardson and Frances Peel [my gg-grandparents]. They lived at 6 White Street, Heworth, Gateshead. In fact all my ancestors were miners and all came either from Northumberland or Gateshead, with the exception of my gg-grandmother who came from Flinthsire in Wales. Thomas's siblings were William, John Peel [my grandfather], Edith, Adlade & George. So it doesn't look like we are from the same family. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck in yojr search.
