Found a marriage Ireland Catholic Parish Marriages & Banns
Patrick Mahon to Maria Anna Gibney Parish Navan County Meath
4th June 1874.
Fathers names: Christopher Mahon & James Gibney
The reason I am giving this record is that I spent several years searching for my grandparents marriage, gro etc to no avail until I contacted the priest at the Church I thought they may have married in. Sure enough I got the record but my grandfathers name had been entered as David instead of Daniel.
Regards

I did a free, preliminary search on the Irish History Foundation website www.irishroots.ie and I only found few possibilities, but none were born in Dublin in 1843.
That said, here's what was in the database:
George MacMahon, baptized 1845 in Meath
George McMahon, baptized 1845 in Cavan
George Mahon, baptized 1840 in Westmeath
George Mahon, baptized 1840 in Offaly
Any of these are possibilities since many of those with the surname Mahon/MacMahon/McMahon use multiple spellings. My McMahon family from Meath used all three spellings depending upon what year it was!
I checked the database for a Matthew born to any Mahon father and Gibney mother and found nothing. I also looked for marriage records for George and Margaret and found nothing. Are you sure his birth name was George?

Thankyou you are very kind searching for george Mahon .
I do have Matthew Mahon Birth certificate

Hi Ballydw
Once again thankyou, But i do think you are onto something there.
Maybe Margaret Gibney was born in dublin not Meath.
I was looking at the irish census and seen a Margaret Mahon widow and place of birth was meath. I found her buried in glasnevin 1916, But as it turned out she had only one child Bridget and she was still living at the time of mother,s death. I did find George Mahon in the site irish genealogy. Thankyou
George was born in 1843 died in 1883
Matthew Mahon born 1869/70 died 1900. both died in dublin workhouse.
Both buried in Glasnevin.
Do you know how i could get there coroner,s report or medical records
-
Sorry not familiar with coroners reports. Maybe someone on the site will direct you in this matter. Regards
