Does anyone know how I can access information from before 1901? Where census taken every 10 years?

1901 is the oldest complete census available.

The 1901 and 1911 Irish census are both free-
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/

They are the first complete census records for all Ireland- only fragments of earlier ones for a few areas survive.

   Other sources of information are available from before 1901. Some of these are referred to as "census substitutes". If you give us an idea of what you are looking for we may be able to help.
