Am trying to find the parents of William Senior born 1820 Sheffield, He married a Mary Ann? in about 1845/46. He had a daughter: Agnes born 1858, Sheffield. She had 2 illegitimate children, John Henry 1874-1923 and Emily 1877-?
Agnes died in 1903, Sheffield. She had 5 siblings: John b:1847, Mary Ann b:1849, William b:1855, Elizabeth b:1860 and George b:1862, All born Sheffield.
I am stuck at the moment on this part of our history. I have a tree on ancestry: parker, please feel free to look if you can help.

I don't think there's an easy way to do this as William Senior is quite a common name in this part of Yorkshire.
I think you'll need a birth cert. of one of the children to find the mother's name & then look for their marriage.
There's one in Sheffield in 1844,on the same page is Mary buloss but as stated you'll need a birth first.

From the census it says first child John born Scotland and Mary Ann born Nottingham.
Hard to pin him down before he marries to know the right parents isn't it. There's a big family with John and Martha at the helm in Kirkburton but only a possibility because his first born was John :-\
As jim suggests birth cert for one of the children is the way to go. Probably Agnes as you know more about her :)

Hi,
In the 1861 Census William Senior states born abt 1820 Ecclesall, Yorkshire his wife states born abt 1823
Kendall, Westmorland.
On family search:-
William Senior Christened 9th May 1819 Ecclesall, Yorkshire son of William Senior and Mary
There are too many Births of a Mary Ann in Kendal to make a suggestion.
